With the theme of “driving the transition to an all-electric society”, the International Standardization (Chilin) Forum was held on June 7 in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Tian Shihong, Vice Minister of SAMR and Administrator of SAC, Mr. Hu Guangjie, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Mr. Chen Zhichang, Mayor of Nanjing, Dr. Shu Yinbiao, 36th IEC President, Mr. Phillippe Metzger, IEC Secretary-General and CEO, and Mr. Shawn Paulsen, IEC Vice-President.
The forum aims to drive the transition to an all-electric society, promote the innovative development of digital, automation and electrification technologies, facilitate the global energy transition, advance the process of carbon neutrality, and realize the international sustainable development with the help of international standards.
An initiative was unveiled to accelerate the development of international standards for all-electric society, promote the standards implementation across the world, strengthen international standardization cooperation, and raise public awareness of all-electric society, calling upon all stakeholders to collaborate in promoting international standardization to realize the vision of an all-electric society. And three IEC white papers in Chinese were released, and keynote speeches were given by renowned domestic and foreign experts.
The forum was guided by Chinese, German and UK National Committees of the IEC, co-hosted by Chinese Society for Electronical Engineering and Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, and organized by IEC Promotion Center (Nanjing), attracting more than 400 standardization experts from international standards organizations, China, Germany, and the U.K., etc.
