Dr. Tian Shihong Meets with Lao Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines and Signs a MoU

Dr. Tian Shihong, Vice Minister of SAMR and Administrator of SAC, met with the visiting delegation led by Mr. Thongphat Inthavong, Lao Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines, in Beijing on July 9, 2024. Both sides communicated with each other to strengthen the cooperation on technical standards in the area of electric power, and signed a MoU on standards cooperation between the two countries.

Dr. Tian indicated that the signing of the MoU will further deepen the bilateral standardization cooperation in the field of electric power. Both sides will establish a China-Laos standards cooperation committee on electric power, and join hands in improving the standardization level of electric power technologies and equipment in the two countries, making positive contribution to the high-quality development of bilateral electric power industry.
