SAMR has recently monitored the implementation of national standards for reducing food waste. The results show that the effective implementation rate of these standards has reached as high as 94.4%.
The standards that are most frequently used include GB/T 39002-2020, Guidance on individual dining system in catering service, GB/T 40042-2021, Green catering operation and management, GB/T 42966-2023, General rules for management of anti-food waste in catering, and GB/T 33497-2023, Specification for quality management of catering enterprise. The monitored implementation times of each standard have reached more than 10,000, which indicates that reducing food waste becomes a conscious action of the whole society.
